SCHOOL UNIFORM
The Parents & Citizens' Association has
determined that students are required to wear the correct school uniform
at school and while going to and from school. On certain other specified
occasions the full uniform will be required, including school excursions.
On other excursions and for some activities, students are required to wear
alternative clothes, as detailed by the teacher in charge.
The uniform is very serviceable, neat and attractive.
It is expected that students will always wear the uniform fully and
properly. Care should be taken to keep it clean, neat and tidy.
It is expected that all students wear the correct
designated uniform. Students who have difficulty buying a uniform should
see the Principal. Students should not expect to represent the school on
official activities unless they are wearing the correct uniform. Students
not in a complete school uniform are to carry a dated explanatory note
from home and to have this note signed by a member of the Administration
or student group teacher.

EDUCATION DEPARTMENT REGULATIONS CONCERNING FOOTWEAR
Departmental
regulations require that students attending Home Economics, Manual Arts
and Science Laboratory classes MUST wear protective footwear. These
requirements are met by LEATHER shoes, SUEDE shoes or shoes
with FULL VINYL UPPERS. Other safety standards involving hair,
jewellery etc must also be met.
Parents should be
aware that the Principal of a school has no discretion in this matter and
the regulation is enforced. Missing these practical lessons seriously
disadvantages a student in his or her progress in such subjects.
The regulations
contained in the new Workplace Health and Safety Act make it even more
important that we abide by these safety requirements.
PARENTAL
CO-OPERATION IN ENSURING THAT STUDENTS WEAR APPROPRIATE FOOTWEAR IS
ESSENTIAL.
